UTSA’s 38-24 win over FAU on October 19, 2024, was not an easy victory for the Roadrunners. UTSA quarterback Owen McCown led the charge, throwing for over 340 yards and two touchdowns, spreading the ball efficiently to his receivers.
FAU kept the game competitive early on, taking advantage of UTSA’s deficiencies, then by the end of 2nd quarter and beginning of the 3rd UTSA’s explosive offense woke up and set the dominant fourth-quarter push, to seal the game.

FAU’s offense struggled against UTSA’s solid defense, which sacked their quarterback multiple times and forced key turnovers. UTSA’s victory helped keep their momentum strong heading into the later part of the season.
