Bobcats Dominate Southern Miss, Punch Bowl Ticket at Bobcat Stadium

The Texas State Bobcats put on an offensive clinic, routing Southern Miss 58-3 at Bobcat Stadium. This decisive victory not only secured bowl eligibility for the second consecutive year but also set a new program record for total offensive yards in a single game.

A Dominant Performance
Quarterback Jordan McCloud led the charge, completing 23 of 28 passes for 335 yards and four touchdowns. Wide receiver Ismail Mahdi was a key target, hauling in two touchdown receptions. The Bobcats’ high-powered offense amassed a staggering 703 total yards, showcasing their explosive potential.

Bowl Eligibility and Guadalupe River Tradition
With this win, Texas State clinched their second consecutive bowl berth. To celebrate this achievement, the team, coaches, and staff have a unique tradition: a refreshing dip in the Guadalupe River. This year’s jump will mark the second time in a row that the Bobcats have taken the plunge.
