Saturday, November 8, 2025, was a triumphant day. The Trinity Tigers delivered a victory in front of their home crowd at Trinity Stadium in San Antonio. They defeated the Millsaps Majors by a final score of 42–24. With a balanced offense and clutch defensive plays, the Tigers secured a key win in their season.

First Half: Slow Start, Strong Response

  • Millsaps drew first blood. Braxton Garmon connected on a 23-yard touchdown pass. This gave them a 7–0 lead in the first quarter. 
  • But in the second quarter, Trinity struck back. Quarterback Hondo Franklin hit Alejandro Tavarez on a 9-yard pass for a touchdown. Johnny Milo exploded for a 45-yard run. Franklin hit Tavarez again. This gave the Tigers a 21–10 lead by halftime. 

Second Half: Full Control

  • At the start of the third quarter, Trinity’s Parker Moeller forced a punt block. Then Azriel Ngatcha recovered a fumble. This led to a 10-yard touchdown run by Jason Love
  • Later in that same quarter, Milo punched in another touchdown with a 1-yard run to push the lead to 35–10. 
  • In the fourth quarter, Trinity emptied the bench. Collin Bishop, the backup quarterback, added a 3-yard keeper. This sealed the win.

  1. Balanced Offense: Trinity racked up 509 total yards, nearly evenly split between passing (256) and rushing (253). 
  2. Special Teams Impact: Moeller blocked two punts, which set up short fields and quick touchdowns for Trinity. 
  3. Defensive Strength: The Tigers forced a turnover and held Millsaps to just three red-zone opportunities, limiting them to 24 points. 
  4. Leadership on the Field: Veteran players shined. Moeller impressed with his blocks and tackles. TJ Scannell delivered big tackles and applied pressure on third downs.
