Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas – November 22nd 2025
The UTSA Roadrunners delivered one of their most complete performances of the season. They overpowered the East Carolina Pirates 58–24 at the Alamodome. From start to finish, UTSA controlled the pace, the physicality, and the scoreboard.
Quarterback Owen McCown set the tone early. He threw two first-quarter touchdown passes. One was to AJ Wilson. Another was to Houston Thomas. In the second quarter, he found David Amador II for another score, building a comfortable and deserved lead.

On the ground, Will Henderson III punished ECU’s defense with 146 rushing yards. This performance helped UTSA score on nine of its first ten offensive drives. Few teams in the American Conference can match that level of balance and efficiency.
- Owen McCown threw 5 touchdown passes, completing 24 of 33 for 248 yards.
- Will Henderson III ran for 146 yards, another showcase of power on the ground.
- The defense shined: Shad Banks Jr. recorded 10 tackles, returned an interception for a touchdown, and recovered a fumble.

Defensively, UTSA played with intensity and discipline. Forced turnovers, constant backfield pressure, and a pick-six by Shad Banks Jr. highlighted a unit that never allowed ECU to gain real rhythm or momentum.
A message to those who doubted and to the city
This wasn’t just a victory. It was a response, even though they have scored an average of 50 points per game and allowed just 25, so far we have seen low attendance records in 2025

The Roadrunners keep proving those who abandoned them wrong.
After a shaky start to the season and some tough losses, plenty of people lost faith. But the players and coaching staff answered with work, discipline, and results. It’s a statement: UTSA is a real team. A legitimate threat. Now they need true fans to take the next step with them. It’s time for people to open their eyes and understand that college football has evolved. Some like it, some don’t — but one thing is certain: there’s no turning back. In this Victory-Driven Sport and Business, success requires talent, resources, and community support. UTSA has the first two. The rest is on us.

A call for San Antonio to recognize its team
The Alamodome must remain a fortress — one the community protects, fills, and energizes every single game.
This city has one consistent, competitive team performing at a high level, and the support should reflect that. The Roadrunners are rising. The culture is built. And the results speak loudly.
